魔法阿嬤將阿嬤的角色與鄉下人純樸的個性描寫得淋漓盡致，傳統的鄉下人互相幫助，遇到事情心直口快，但不會放在心上，對各種事盡心盡力地做；身為阿嬤雖然碰到女兒把孩子丟給他照顧，雖然不太願意也欣然接受，並盡量使孫子得到最好的照顧；而對大家害怕的鬼節，也以不同的角度來說故事，讓大家對這個習俗有更深的認識。
